  · June 22, 2010 - Soft Imaging was named one of the most promising Life Science Technology companies at the 9th Annual Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship Life Science Venture Forum in Houston last week. Nearly 40 Life Science companies showcased their new ventures for an audience of more than 400 attendees, including investors, venture capitalists, industry representatives, business leaders, advisors/mentors, service providers, and entrepreneurs.      
 

· August 1, 2009 - Soft Imaging has been awarded an extension of the Small Business Innovative Research Phase 2 grant entitled "Lossless Watermarking for Data Security and Integrity of Medical Images", from the National Institutes of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering.

· August 1, 2008 - Soft Imaging has been awarded the second year funding of the Small Business Innovative Research Phase 2 grant entitled "Lossless Watermarking for Data Security and Integrity of Medical Images", from the National Institutes of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, to continue the development of a novel lossless digital watermarking technology for data security and integrity protection of medical diagnostic images.

· April, 2008 - Academic Press (now an imprint of Elsevier) announced the publication of a new book co-authored by Soft Imaging scientists, Dr. Qiang Wu, Dr. Fatima Merchant, and Dr. Kenneth Castleman. The book, entitled "Microscope Image Processing", presents a unique perspective of state-of-the-art microscope image processing and the development of specialized techniques for real-

· September 24,2007 - Soft Imaging has been awarded a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase 1 grant, entitled "Improved Automated Urinalysis", from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), to develop novel optical and pattern recognition techniques for microscopic particle analysis of casts and crystals in urine sediment.

· September 15, 2007 - Soft Imaging has been awarded a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase 1 grant, entitled "3D Breast Anatomy Analysis in Cancer Treatment Planning and Outcome" from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), to develop 3D image analysis tools that will aid surgeons with pre-operative planning and post-operative outcome evaluation of breast cancer treatment.

· September 13, 2007 - Soft Imaging has been awarded a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase 1 grant, entitled "A Virtual Reality Environment for Genomic Data Visualization", from the National Institutes of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), to develop a new virtual reality display environment for visualization of multi-channel, multidimensional data from genomic study experiments.

· August 6, 2007 - Soft Imaging has been awarded the first year funding of a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase 2 grant, entitled "Lossless Watermarking for Data Security and Integrity of Medical Images", from the National Institutes of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), to develop a novel lossless digital watermarking technology for data security and integrity protection of medical diagnostic images.
